The Color Purple by Alice Walker

Rating: 6/5!!
Why: It was a wonderfully written book!
Story line: An abused child grows up and realizes that she doesn't have to love someone to be happy. She then falls in love with her husband's crush of 15 years. They fall in love and move together to Shug's home. Then she realizes that you do have to love to be happy, and that she loves herself. I know that's confusing, but you'd have to read it!

Never Happened by Debrah Webb

Rating: 4/5
Why: Everything was great until the very end. Webb didn't finish as great as the rest of the book started out.
Story line: Alex Jackson is a clean-up specialist that cleans up messes other people leave from crime scenes to rotten vegetables. One day, she finds evidence of a murder that was ruled as a suicide. After following protocal, her detective friend was murdered for knowing about the evidence. Alex takes it into her own hands to find who killed her friend whom she had feelings for, and on the way, she finds someone else.

It was a Harlequin romance novel! What do you expect? I love Harlequins!

Since I am probably the only one that will join this community, I decided to make this a tracking list for me!

These aren't the first books I've read, of course, so I am just starting to keep track of the books I read from now on!

Book Number One:
Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe

Rating: 3/5
Why?: I didn't like the African style of writing. It was an okay book for an AP assignment.
Story line: Mostly it was stories about the main character, Okonkwo, and his life. Mostly it didn't make any since until the very last sentence.
